MALVERN'S Hattie Harnden takes on the UCI Cyclo-Cross World Championships in Denmark this weekend.
She will be racing in Bogense in the women's under 23s section after recently successfully defending her junior women's title at the national championships.
Over Christmas and new year Harnden tackled a five-race cyclo-cross trip to Belgium, impressing against the sport’s best in the world.
Still only at junior age level, the T-Mo Racing ace has been topping the podium in the West Midlands League and National Trophy this winter, taking on elite level riders in the process.
She has continued on from her impressive summer mountain bike season.
To cap the campaign Harnden was picked to represent Great Britain in a four-rider team at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires.
After five gruelling races the team members were delighted with fourth place overall in Argentina.
