HOLLY Gourley finished second woman as Ledbury Harriers tackled the penultimate race in the 2018-2019 Herefordshire Cross Country League.
Fforest Fields near Builth Wells hosted the action in freezing conditions with Harriers fielding a men’s team as well as two female competitors.
The course was over two laps to make a total distance of 6.4 miles with conditions snowy and slippery at times although everyone remained upright.
The men’s team of Chris Law (50 minutes 56 seconds, 23rd), Neil Grinnell (51.08), David Elks (54.27) and Chris Padfield (59.69) with Phil Johnson (1.02.00) in reserve achieved 11th place.
They currently sit ninth in the league out of 17 teams from the area.
The women put in a good performance with Gourley the first Harrier home in 50.23 for second spot.
Sophie Blandford ran 1.09.59 to finish 39th in her first time representing the club.
