THE Worcestershire League begins a new era next month when previously higher-ranked clubs join the action.

Birmingham League changes called for a series of relegations and the start of a Premier Division for the revamped county set-up.

Old Elizabethans, Pershore, Redditch and Astwood Bank are among the clubs joining Worcester in the new top flight.

Bromyard, Colwall, Droitwich Spa and Worcester Nomads help make up Division One.

Second teams of Ombersley, Kidderminster and Bromsgrove play in Division Two alongside the likes of Himbleton.

OEs, Barnards Green and Pershore seconds take on Division Three with opponents including Kempsey, Old Vigornians, Avoncroft, Rushwick and Martley.

The top flight gets under way on April 13 with most of the others following on April 20.

There are now just two divisions in the Birmingham set-up with Kidderminster in Premier One.

Premier Two sees Barnards Green, Bromsgrove and Ombersley competing.

The league starts on April 20 after the first round of the Graham Williamson Trophy on April 13.

Ombersley host Walsall among the trophy fixtures.
