Malvern Active squash players Jez Clarke, Oliver Parker and Anthony Arnold
MALVERN Active were represented in the second Worcestershire Open squash competition at Stourbridge.
Anthony Arnold made the C grade semi-finals before losing 3-1 to the finalist while Jez Clarke, up against the eventual winner, and Oliver Parker fell at the first stage.
But Clarke went on to win the plate competition without dropping a game and Parker got to the quarter-finals.
Active's firsts and seconds were promoted to the county first and second divisions last season but have found the rise a challenge and will both return to the lower leagues.
