FIFTH-PLACED Bromyard knocked Hagley off the Worcestershire Cricket League Division One summit with a six-wicket victory.

Josh van Rensburg claimed 5-31 to skittle the hosts for 86 before Bromyard lost four wickets on winning in 33.4 overs.

Eastnor were beaten by just one run as Worcester seconds moved up to second in Division Four.

Mohammed Munir took 3-28 in Worcester’s 130 all out before scoring 49 in a tense reply of 129.

Worcester Nomads seconds lost to Division Five leaders Lye seconds by 33 runs despite 4-33 from Anton Madzarevic and 79 by skipper Malcolm Jones.

Stephen Smith scored 50 and Matthew Hartley 37 to help West Malvern beat Feckenham seconds by seven wickets to go up to second.

Anthony Arnold claimed 4-52 to guide Malvern to a tight six-run victory against Hanley Castle and Upton despite opener Matt Pratley’s reply of 69.

Malvern scored 208 all out thanks to 53 extras and David Cox’s 34 as Tony Hutchings took 3-25 and Edward Platts 3-44.

Hanley fell short in reply on 202-8 with Tristan Robinson adding 43.
