IN-FORM Bromyard picked up another comfortable win to move into fourth place in Worcestershire Cricket League Division One.

The town side beat visitors Worcester Nomads by eight wickets after skittling them for 115.

Nickolas Jones (33) top scored for Nomads as Jacob Redsull took 4-19 and Greg Leighton 3-31.

Openers Ian Bullock (32) and Nick Leighton (41) gave Bromyard a solid base in their winning reply of 118-2 inside 23 overs.

Colwall maintained top spot as Andrew Robertson (5-10) led them to a comfortable nine-wicket victory against Pedmore.

Cookley beat basement boys Droitwich Spa by eight wickets thanks to Danny Soley (5-29) and Jamie Brighton (78 not out) to go up to third.

Joint Division Two leaders Ombersley thrashed relegation-threatened Enville by six wickets with Harry Annable (4-27) and Sam Oakley (68) the chief performers.

Mid-table Himbleton were guided by Greg Dale (4-50), Sean Jenkins (73no) and Ali Pretty (53) to a seven-wicket victory over bottom-of-the-table Bartestree and Lugwardine.

Third-placed Worcester seconds are fast becoming the masters of tense finishes as they played out a second tie in 2019, this time against a spirited Astwood Bank thirds in Division Four.

Both teams were bowled out for 196 with Harry Clark scoring 44 and Tom Pinfield taking 3-32 for Worcester.

In Division Five, Fergus Neve grabbed 5-10 as second-placed West Malvern stayed in touch after beating Claverley by nine wickets.

Netherton amassed 392-8 which proved too many for Hanley Castle and Upton to chase despite the best efforts of Todd Mathews (72) and Matt Pratley (51).

Tom Fairclough took 4-29 and Max White scored 106 to guide Malvern home against Colwall seconds for whom Kit Lister scored 78.

Roger Dixon (102), Malcolm Jones (101) and Derek Austin (66) helped Worcester Nomads compile 358-4 to beat Feckenham seconds with Jack Watkins claiming 5-48.
