ROLLY Baldwin won Malvern Anglers' John Perks Shield on club water on the River Severn at Holdfast.
A good turnout of competitors enjoyed good river and weather conditions but in some places anglers struggled to catch.
Baldwin drew the end peg for the second consecutive time and used his knowledge to start catching bream up to 5lb from the start on a mixture of maggot, worm and caster baits. His match-winning weight of 37lb 0oz was substantially ahead of Ian Goddard who netted bream for his second-placed 20-11.
From a less fancied peg Richie Webster caught several bream during a brief period at the start but then struggled to get bites towards the end.
He caught enough to finish third with 17-4 ahead of Green on 12-13, Paul Lane on 9-9, Chris Johnson on 7-10, Dan Cooper on 4-14, Nigel Bayliss on 4-10, Chris Loveridge on 3-14 and Frank Edwards on 0-2.
