UPTON were well represented at Henley Masters and Llandaff Regattas.

At Henley, Julian and Tabitha Scrivener won their mixed master E double sculls quarter-final but lost in the semis to Newark.

The men’s masters C quad of Steve Thrush, Adam Checkley, Richard Gill and Jon Eaton went down in the quarter-finals.

The composite men’s masters G double of Upton's Andrew Scott and Mike Jones from Ross also lost out.

On the one-kilometre course at Llandaff, Sally Miles and Debbie Thompson won their women’s open doubles heat before losing to Evesham in the semi-finals.

Olly Tomkinson and Mandie Bird exited the women’s masters C/D doubles as did Chris Horne and Lance Hollis in the masters E doubles.

Jo Hammett and Linda Scott won their women’s masters F/G doubles semi-final but were beaten in the final.

Miles and Thompson went down in the women’s masters A/B doubles as did the women’s Masters E quad of Scott, Sue MacGregor, Pippa Riddle and Hammett.

On the 500m course, Hugh Edney and Willow Haynes won the J13 double sculls semi-final and then claimed the final narrowly.

Haynes also triumphed in the girls' J13 single sculls semis but could not claim the final against Evesham.

Tomkinson and Bird lost in the women’s masters D/E double sculls but Miles and Thompson saw off Gloucester easily in the women’s masters B doubles.
