MALVERN Joggers teamed up to compete at The Wild One in Worcester.

The multi-lap marathon relay in Perdiswell was hosted by Black Pear Joggers.

Malvern fielded three relay teams with Caught In The Act, involving Paul Newman, Jim Wheatstone, Suzie Lane, Ben Toon and Deb White, finishing fifth out of 30 in three hours 30 minutes.

Malvern Vegan Runners' Bill Clayton and Paul Millsom took second place for the duo teams and fourth overall.

They were one of three club teams at the charity event with 70 from around the region.

At Caton Park, Staffordshire, Malvern Joggers' Ian Fuller did four 10-kilometre laps at the Thunder 24-hour relay as his team completed 20.

Meanwhile, Malvern Triathlon Club's Vikki Sivertsen won the women's section at the Melin Sospan Sizzler Middle Distance Triathlon in Burry Port, Wales.

She did a 1.9km sea swim in 52.31, a 58-mile bike section in 3.21.23 and a half marathon in 1.36.31 for a total of 5.53.49. Droitwich Sprint Triathlon covered a 400m pool swim, a 20km bike section and a 5km run.

In the open men's category, Malvern's Colin Davies did 1.10.52 and John Bryan 1.13.17.

Sarah Davies did 1.18.39 in the open women's age group and Heather Kirk 1.22.37 in the veteran female category.
