FERGUS Neve hit 119 not out for third-placed West Malvern in their seven-wicket victory over Droitwich Spa seconds in Worcestershire Cricket League Division Five.

Spa’s own score of 242-7 had been boosted by Stuart Bryan (87) and Rhys John (60) before West’s rain-reduced reply of 233-3 with Peter Gurr adding 45no.

Fifth-placed Malvern won by six wickets at Worcester Nomads seconds thanks to Lewis Hill (57no).

Nomads were bowled out for 183 with Derek Austin (57) top scoring.

Hanley Castle and Upton collapsed to 63 all out before losing to Chaddesley Corbett seconds by nine wickets.

Bromyard went into third in Division One after a nine-wicket victory over Bredon.

The visitors were skittled for 75 by the Herefordshire side with David Taylor taking 4-13 and Zahid Saeed 3-4.

Third-from-bottom Worcester Nomads lost to Pedmore after falling for 71 in an eight-wicket loss.

Eastnor lost by 14 runs to Romsley and Hunnington in Division Four after being bowled out for 184 in reply to 198.

Freddie Coleman scored 62 for Eastnor while Raheel Lone took 4-26.

Bromyard seconds slipped to second in Division Seven after Bromsgrove fourths’ Ashley Grazier took 6-27 to dismiss them for just 98.
