Ledbury and Malvern Swimming Club’s success in the National Arena Swimming League continued on Saturday night.

Competing against teams from around the West Midlands region, LAMSC swimmers stormed home to a 24-point victory on the night.

The result followed their earlier success in round one in October where the team won by a 53-point margin.

The team scored maximum points in 20 of the 50 events, winning six relays and 14 individual races to cement top spot.

Club member and event organiser Jonathan Kennedy said: “This is everything we want to see in our youth competitions – energy, excitement and supporting team mates. It was fabulous to be a part of.”

The final round is in December where the team will be pushing to finish in one of the top four promotion spots.

Ledbury and Malvern Swimming Club, who recently changed their name from Ledbury and District Swimming Club, train at both Ledbury Swimming Pool and Malvern College.

It is a family-friendly club catering for novice swimmers right through to those competing at national level.
