Against mid-table Evesham, Malvern started swiftly with Joe Pritchard scoring after slick passing.

Tom Hales went over under the posts from Rob Cook's assist before Evesham got on the scoreboard with a penalty.

Dan Batty forced his way across for a third try from Cook's break and offload with the bonus point quickly secured through Hale's second effort down the wing.

Malvern's scrum was in charge with Max Richardson rewarding the pack's efforts.

There were two more tries before half-time through Jack Longley and Pritchard to make it 49-3.

Malvern continued the romp in the second period with replacement Josh Herbert charging down a kick for Longley to grab his second try.

Another commanding scrum took Malvern over for Jack Curtis to dot down before Evesham used the width of the pitch to restore some lost pride.

Three quick tries shocked Malvern and slashed their advantage to 50 points.

But the hosts just went out to score more at the other end with Lewis Hardiman securing a late brace and Luke Milton adding one.

Malvern's colts won 31-22 at Worcester in a friendly after being frustrated by the wet weather recently.

Oliver Elliot-Williams (2), George White and Raffaello Cossali-Francis scored first-half tries with three conversions.

Malvern led 26-12 at the break and Elliot-Williams completed his hat-trick in the final quarter.

Meanwhile, Upton's men suffered their first Midlands Four West (South) defeat of the season.

The leaders fell 25-8 at fourth-placed Coventrians and now host country rivals Pershore in a derby on Saturday.

Bromyard, who are third, won 13-3 at Harbury ahead of Saturday's home game with Kings Norton.
