HEREFORD Lads Club are preparing for a big week in their season with league and cup action.

Danny Moon's side head to promotion rivals Malvern Town on Saturday in the Hellenic Division One West before hosting Hereford FC three days later in the Herefordshire FA County Challenge Cup.

Despite the 3G pitch at the County Ground being in fine order Lads Club's matches last Saturday and Tuesday night were postponed due to travelling conditions for the opposition.

However, they are due to return to league action on Saturday with the short trip to Malvern.

When the sides met earlier this month an exciting encounter ended 3-3 with Oliver Price scoring a brace for Moon's side while Adam Hockey netted the other.

"It's not ideal preparation but it is what it is and there is plenty of games after this one," said Moon

"I'm hoping for a goal fest and a clean sheet at the same time. Hopefully we will get the same as last time and I'm sure both sides will go hammer and tongue at it again."

On Tuesday night Lads Club host Hereford FC in the cup quarter-final.

Moon says his side will aim to 'have a go' at the Bulls.

"That's what we want, to be playing teams at a good standard," added Moon.

"We have got a big game Saturday first and will worry about Hereford after that.

"We will aim to have a go at them which is different to the past when we've just been happy with the occasion.

"This time we will have a go as we've got nothing to lose and are not expected to win.

"Hereford are in a no win situation as if they score a few then they are expected to while and they have got bigger fish to fry."
