LEO Milan’s 77th-minute winner eventually secured Malvern Vale a 5-4 home win over lowly AFC Renegades in Cheltenham League Division One.

Ameer Khan tapped in a Milan pass to put Vale ahead on 21 minutes and Matt Strangwood quickly made it two with a free-kick.

Ryan Knowles fired in substitute Alex Bradley’s assist and Khan slotted home a fourth after Milan’s effort was only parried.

Vale made several half-time changes but Renegades took advantage by breaking through the defence and then scoring two headers from corners in four minutes.

Twenty-two minutes from time Renegades levelled matters but Vale’s pressure in response paid off with Milan hammering home a loose ball following a corner.

Second-placed Vale host Southside Star on Saturday.

Hanley Swan crashed out of the Senior Charity Cup with a 5-1 loss at lower-ranked Fintan.

Aston Gunter pulled a goal back in the third-round tie.
