WORCESTER Warriors' head coach Jonathan Thomas has offered an injury update on a number of key individuals.

Owen Williams and Melani Nanai both suffered injuries in the defeat to Gloucester Rugby in round three and it looks like being a while before they return to action.

Thomas said: "Unfortunately for Owen and Melani, they are more long term issues.

"Neither will be available in this block of fixtures (three more: Northampton, Sale and Bristol) and as for Owen, I don't think we are going to see him until after Christmas."

The Welshman did admit that he had not spoken to the medical department ahead of the press conference, so could not offer an update on other more smaller knocks and bruises.

Warriors make the trip to Northampton Saints on Friday evening, looking to end their four match losing streak to begin the 2021/22 Gallagher Premiership campaign.

After their opening the season with a home win against London Irish, Warriors have lost to Harlequins, Gloucester, Exeter and Leicester.

Saints did not play last weekend as they were the club to enjoy the by-week.

Northampton currently sit fifth with three wins from four, but have played a game less than everyone else.
