TOM Hill’s incredible performance helped Ledbury end their losing run as they cruised to victory at Kington.

Hill recorded brilliant figures of 6-25 from 10 overs as the hosts were bowled out for 96 inside 28 overs after Ledbury won the toss and opted to bowl.

The visitors needed just 16 overs to reach the target, losing just three wickets in the process, as they finally got back to winning ways.

Openers Josh Emery (35) and Brandon Caffull (24) almost got the runs themselves but in the end, Jamie Turner’s four brought home the win.

Choosing to bowl proved to be the right decision for Ledbury as the bowlers got to work.

It had been a steady start for Kington, reaching 36/1 before the wickets fell at regular intervals.

Duncan Bell took the first wicket of Dan Fenwick-Lofts (9) before Hill came in and took the next five wickets himself.

Wayne Morgan (19) and Robert Stokes (18) were both caught off his bowling before he bowled both Laura Wade (4) and Henry Powell (18).

Will Priday was Hill’s next victim as he went without scoring after being caught by Joshua Evans.

Vicky Evans had Bryan Kirkham caught before Hill notched his sixth.

Bell then took the final two wickets to complete the lot.

Opener Emery and Caffull did not fancy wasting any time and took the score to 41 without loss before a couple of wickets fell.

But worry not, Ledbury cruised to the win in the end in no time at all.
