Ledbury Town continued their perfect start the new 2022/23 season as two goals from both Tom Boyle and Josh Burns helped them cruise past Clee Hill United to make it four wins from four.

Burns added to his early opener in the second-half to make it 2-0 before last season's top goalscorer in the Herefordshire Football League Premier Division, Boyle, scored a brace to complete a convincing 4-0 win.

The victory means Ledbury sit top of the table and still yet to drop any points.

They will look to continue with their brilliant start this weekend when they host league newcomers Westfields Development.

There was less good news for the club's Reserves and Swifts sides last weekend as they both suffered thumping defeats to begin their new seasons.

Alistair Holder and Kieran Loveridge picked up the two consolation goals for Ledbury Reserves as Hereford Lads Club Reserves put seven past them in a crushing 7-2 victory.

Beginning their season at the foot of the Division One table one goal behind Bartestree, David Butcher’s young squad have another away encounter at Holme Lacy Reserves this coming weekend to try and make amends, before two opening home games at New Street.

As for Ledbury Swifts, it was even worse, as they conceded nine goals to Leominster Town.

Leominster ran rampant against Neil Davis and Nick Blakeway’s youngsters, going 6-0 up even before half-time.

Ryan Botwood scored a hat-trick, Jordan Acaster picked up a brace and Jordan Arkell, Daniel Ramshaw-Evans, Ashley Ryder and substitute player Jamie Davies all got themselves on the home scoresheet.

They face The Broadleys in their second game of the Division Two season this weekend at Ross Road.
