Ledbury Town will be put to the test this weekend when they face Sporting Club Inkberrow at New Street in a top three battle contest in the Herefordshire Football League Premier.

Having had their cup game with Ludlow cancelled last weekend, Ledbury come into the clash with the in-form Inkberrow fresh off a 12-day break.

Their visitors have played considerably fewer games than the rest of the league but have won eight of their nine matches in the 2022/23 HFA Premier campaign.

But they are still flying high despite the lack of games and have five games in hand on Ledbury, who are 14 points clear of them at the top of the table.

Inkberrow have won seven in a row and will provide a stern test for Ian Merrick’s men.

Whilst the first team and Reserve team were not in action over the weekend, the Swifts were.

Their Division Two meeting with The Broadley’s ended goalless but Neil Davis and Nick Blakeway’s young squad battled against cold strong cross-winds as well as extremely slippery conditions to take a thoroughly-deserved point off the current third place holders.

The Swifts will play Dore Valley at the Seven Site for a first time this season this coming Saturday.
