Ledbury Town's lead at the top of the Herefordshire Football League Premier has been whittled down to just a solitary point ahead of their clash with Coppertops this weekend.

Ledbury haven't played since their 4-1 defeat to Ludlow Town Colts and sides around them have taken advantage and cut the gap/

Hereford Pegasus Reserves, who Ledbury were due to play last weekend, have won five of their last seven games and now sit a single point behind Ledbury, having played the same amount of games.

But the danger side remain Sporting Club Inkberrow, who are only five points off Ledbury with three games in hand.

Inkberrow have won six of their seven, which included a 0-0 draw with league leaders Ledbury, and remain the team everyone is watching to see if they can leap from fourth up to first.

Having started the season so well and seemingly racing towards the title, they now are very much in a four horse race for the championship.

But they face mid-table Coppertops this weekend, looking to stay ahead of the chasing pack and have bolstered their squad with the signing of former player Ben Miller.

Miller, who has spent time at Hereford FC, Westfields, Malvern Town and Hereford Pegasus in recent years, returns to where it all started for the midfielder.

Ledbury will be hoping he can add some quality in the middle of the park to spark the side into life as they contemplate the challengers around them.
