LEDBURY Town manager Ben Symons has laid down the gauntlet to his players to perform well in their three remaining West Midlands (Regional) Premier Division games, starting with tomorrow’s home clash with Wednesfield (ko 3pm).

The New Street side welcome back Peter Boyle from a four-match suspension and Dorian Colling, Isaac Shaze and Samuel Mensah (all previously unavailable) for tomorrow’s match for the visit of the Black Country side.

Town look to end the season with a maximum return of league points from their last few games.

They then host Ludlow Town on Tuesday night before completing their campaign against Ellesmere Rangers on Saturday, April 25.

Midfielder Joel Skyers will be available for the Ludlow game after serving a five-match suspension.

Goals from Scott Roberts, Luke Kavanagh, Duncan Preedy and Tom Boyle also got Town back on track as they stormed to a fine 4-1 win over Dudley Sports on Saturday.

Looking ahead, Symons has urged his players to employ a degree of self-discipline over the pre-season break as he looks to start next season with a flourish.

He said: “I am targeting nine points from the last three games and we achieved our initial target of leap-frogging Wolverhampton Casuals in the table after last weekend’s win.

“The victory was good because it means we can now look to turn around our recent spell of defeats.

“The four players we have back for tomorrow’s game are all influential and will give the squad a boost.

“I like to think that we have turned it around since I have been here.”
