MALVERN Victoria hit back from behind to win 3-1 against West Midland in McDonald’s Worcester and District Football League Sunday Division Two.

With a few players missing, the confidence from beating town rivals Malvern Rangers 2-0 the previous week was not reflected in their play.

Midland took the lead in the first 20 minutes and bossed periods of the first-half with fifth-placed Victoria failing to create chances in reply.

The Malvern side came out more determined in the second period and levelled through Nick Lancett.

With Midland having the bare 11 players, they tired and conceded a penalty, which Jamie Harding dispatched.

With five minutes left, Harding scored again to secure the victory.

In the same division, Inter Express edged past bottom-of-the-table VBL Sports 3-2.

Meanwhile, Droitwich Spa Eagles ‘A’ are making a late bid to enter the Division Five promotion race after an 8-1 demolition of Sport Dysons.

Damian Bonehill netted five times and Phil Brett put away a brace to extend Eagles’ unbeaten run to five games.

Veteran Cutnall Green secretary Connor Normoyle came out of retirement to boost numbers and found the net as he inspired his basement boys to a shock 4-1 victory at Foresters Arms in Division Three.

Third-placed Falcons triumphed 2-1 at Colwall Village, while Powick Reserves went down 4-1 at Metro.

In Division One, Powick drew 1-1 with top-of-the-table Droitwich Spa Eagles and host Kempsey on Sunday.

In the Premier Division, leaders WCT Raiders lost their 100 per cent record when held to a 2-2 draw at Perrywood.

Nearest challengers Upton Snodsbury went down 3-2 at Malvern Radar, who inflicted their first league defeat.

Lee Seldon cracked a hat-trick for Arrow 2000, who beat Heenans 5-3.

Callow End are bottom after losing 5-2 at home to fellow strugglers New Inn and head to Upton Snodsbury on Sunday.

Malvern Town Reserves won their Saturday Division derby at Malvern Vale 3-0 with goals from Stacey Brimmell, Lewis Platt and Stuart Hill.

Stuart Harvey netted twice in leaders Powick’s 4-0 victory at Arrow.
