A Ledbury care home has scored a perfect rating on a care home review website.

Reviews by residents and their families have given Deer Park Care Home a score of 10, the highest possible rating on carehome.co.uk.

The independent website allows individuals to share their experiences with a care home in order to help inform others on the quality of the home, which means this rating is directly determined using feedback from care home residents and their loved ones.

Deer Park’s home manager Marie Wood said: “I am incredibly proud of every member of my team, who are thrilled to have been recognised in this way.

“Receiving such high praise from our residents and their families has been a fantastic morale boost, as this rating makes it clear that our unwavering dedication is having a positive impact on the lives of those in our care.”

Having opened earlier this year, Deer Park Care Home offers 24-hour dementia, nursing, residential and short-stay care, serving those in Ledbury and the surrounding area.

The home features facilities including a private cinema, a number of restaurants, a café and a hairdressing salon.

Deer Park is one of 18 homes belonging to the Porthaven Care Homes Group, which was recently awarded ‘Best Care Home Group over 10 settings’ at the 24th National Care Awards.

The group has also been named a ‘Top 20 Mid-size Care Home Group’ for the seventh year in a row by carehome.co.uk.

In September, Deer Park Care Home was officially opened by TV legend Angela Rippon, alongside Ledbury mayor Phillip Howells.

The event came a few months after the home starting accepting its first residents.

Following the unveiling of a commemorative plaque, residents were able to join guests for a lunch cooked up by the home’s in-house catering team.
