HOPEFULLY third times the charm for Ledbury RFC, who are keen to get their 2025 underway this weekend against Cheltenham in the Regional Two Midlands West.
Following their Cotton Cup Contest victory in late December, the side have seen fixtures called off against both Hereford and Whitchurch.
In the Cotton Cup, the side won 10-0 in less than ideal conditions. Battling through the mud and the fog, a pair of tries were enough to see the side over the line to claim victory in front of over 500 spectators.
On the day, £1085 was also raised for St Michael's Hospice and Cancer UK.
Cheltenham, on the other hand, have been able to get their 2025 underway last Saturday (January 11), as they took a 57-28 win over Hereford.
With mixed form in recent fixtures, Cheltenham have picked up two wins in their last five. They currently sit sixth in the table, four points off fifth-placed Ludlow.
Ledbury find themselves placed in ninth spot, having also won two of their last five - taking victories over Old Halesonians and Edwardians in December.
Both sides sit higher in the table that Ledbury, giving them confidence going into this one.
The underdog victory over high-flying Edwardians was a particularly impressive result for the side, sending a statement to their competition in the league by dealing Edwardians one of only four losses they have picked up this season.
On home soil, Cheltenham were dominant as the two met in the reverse fixture, running away with it in a 47-26 victory in mid-October.
A victory here would see Ledbury further improve upon their recent upturn of form - as they would claim their third successive win in all competitions.
Weather permitting, the game kicks off this Saturday (January 18), on home soil for Ledbury.
