The Palace Cinema, located in the centre of Cinderford has had people visiting for over a century due to its amazing value. The value for money cinema has kept prices low even after lockdown, where many businesses were forced to up their prices. The Palace has kept ticket prices at £4.50 per person and is especially lower compared to rivals, who are charging more, in many cases upwards of double the amount per person. What is even more impressive, is the locally run cinema keeps up with the newest and most popular films including most recently Five Nights at Freddies and Trolls.

The Cinema contains two screens, one on the ground floor and one upstairs which was originally the balcony of the old Palace Theatre. The cinema engages with the public via social media such as Facebook in order to help decide which movies are shown. This clearly shows the cinema cares greatly for its viewers and the local community.

The Palace Cinema doesn’t just offer family friendly priced tickets either. The Cinema offers a great range of snacks and hot/cold drinks at competitive prices, often being much better value for money against not only bigger chains of cinema but also local supermarkets.

The current owner, Andy Lougher, is regularly making improvements and restoring the building. The most recent projects being restoring the front entrance to its original, former glory and installing a new original art deco cinema ticket kiosk. The kiosk has been relocated from the regal cinema in Stowmarket near Ipswich, where it had been installed since 1936.

If you are planning a trip to the cinema soon then Cinderford Palace Cinema is well worth the trip.
