LUCY Hurds gets a second shot at a general election campaign in the county, but this time she’s crossed the boundary.
Lucy, who fought Leominster for the Liberal Democrats last time out, has now been selected by the party to fight Hereford and South Herefordshire.
Former Lib Dem Hereford MP Paul Keetch was amongst the first to congratulate Lucy on her selection.
"I have worked with Lucy for a number of years and know that she will be a strong voice for Hereford,” he said.
“Her local roots bind her to the community she will serve.”
Mother-of-three Lucy grew up in Ross-on-Wye where her father was a teacher at John Kyrle High School.
In 2010 she achieved a 6.9% swing to the Lib Dems in Leominster but Conservative Bill Wiggin held onto his seat.
