An easy way to donate: St Michael's Hospice staff (l-r) Helen Legge, Ruth Denison, Stephen Rabbitts, Ron Maul and Stephanie Hinksman have turned to social media to help raise funds.

IT'S now as easy as clicking a button to donate to St Michael's Hospice.

Hospice staff have pledged to donate a pound for every Facebook 'like' up to £5,000 'likes' in a bid to help raise the last £1.5 million needed for their redevelopment appeal.

This money will go towards replacing part of the existing hospice with a bigger building which will house 20 beds in single en-suite rooms, as well as therapy rooms and a dining room.

Ruth Denison, head of fund-raising at the hospice, said: “We have had such a mind-blowing response to the appeal from local people that it seems only appropriate that we ourselves go the extra mile to help bring all our plans to life. We hope our Facebook campaign will give everyone the opportunity to support the hospice and will provide a simple way for people to follow our appeal as we raise the final £1.5 million to bring all our plans to life.”
