A CAKE sale helped to raise funds for the inaugural Leominster Food Fayre.
Taking place on September 5, the fayre aims to showcase local food and drink producers and food-related businesses from North Herefordshire.
Volunteers held a cake sale in Leominster's Corn Square last Friday as part of the weekly market to raise funds for the event.
Jaimie Wood, organiser of the Leominster Food Fayre, said: "We made more than £200 on the cake sale stall and all the money raised will go towards keeping the food fayre free entry to all.
"We are extremely grateful for the generosity shown by the Leominster community. Preparations are going well and we look forward to seeing everyone on September 5."
The fayre will take place in Corn Square and Broad Street from 10am until 4pm.
