DRIVERS in Hereford were stuck in the city’s traffic for longer than usual this evening.
Queues through the centre developed throughout the day and were the busiest at rush hour with some drivers delayed by up to 40 minutes on one street alone.
Hereford Times Sports Editor Paul Rogers was one of many delayed by the heavy traffic.
He said: “I was stuck on Whitecross Road for about 40 minutes and barely got out of first gear.
“Some cars turned around and a pedestrian was heard telling drivers that Ryelands Street was also busy.”
Traffic was still backed up Holmer Road heading up Edgar Street after 7.30pm tonight.
