A 23-YEAR-old was given a conditional discharge after being drunk and disorderly.
Anthony Sabell of Friars Court, Hereford was arrested on April 21 after police were called to Victoria Street to reports of a disturbance.
They found Sabell in the road and when they tried to move him to the side he was abusive, so officers arrested him.
At Herefordshire Magistrates Court Sabell pleaded guilty to drunk and disorderly.
Dan Barratt, from the probation service, said Sabell had been attending appointments and was engaging with Addaction in relation to alcohol issues.
Sabell, who was defending himself, said he was depressed at the time.
He was given a conditional discharge for nine months and ordered to pay court costs of £135 and a victim surcharge of £20.
