BROMYARD driver Robert Hall moved up to third in the Castle Combe Formula Ford 1600 Championship with two good performances in rounds five and six.
Hall, 17, kept up his recent good form by finishing first in class in the first race, including a fastest lap, and second in race two, also with fastest lap.
The Husqvarna Swift driver qualified in fourth place for the first race and after a hectic few laps managed to fight his way up to third overall and first in class while also claiming the overall fastest lap.
All this came despite a reoccurring misfire that was not solved all weekend.
Hall was seventh after the early stages of the second race before two accidents forced stoppages.
The teenager eventually finished fifth overall and second in class, once again setting fastest lap.
The next race is on August 4.
