THE owners of a recycling business at Dymock, near Ledbury, will be up in court following a pollution incident in the River Leadon that killed 15,000 fish.
Mark and Anne Bennion of Rose Hill Farm, Dymock, will be up before Hereford Magistrates Court on Friday, November 24, at 2pm.
They are charged with "a water discharge activity, namely a discharge of digestate, into the Preston Brook and River Leadon" under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010.
The incident happened on June 22, 2016, and had a significant impact on a 19km stretch of the river, according to the Environment Agency.
