HEREFORD Cathedral gardens will be awash with red this week as poppies cover the garden in commemoration of Remembrance Day.
The Lady Arbour gardens will be turned into the Remembrance Garden by the Royal British Legion from tomorrow, November 10 to Monday, November 15.
In 2014 Herefordshire Royal British Legion set up a Field of Remembrance to commemorate those from the Armed Forces and Merchant Navy who lost their lives from 1914 to the present day.
There are about 1500 crosses planted in memory of over 4000 Herefordian's who died in conflict.
The Field of Remembrance opens with a dedication service led by the Cathedral clergy and remains open during Remembrance Day and Remembrance Sunday.
Visitors are welcome to read the books of Remembrance and lay crosses in memory of loved ones.
Herefordshire Royal British Legion members and volunteers manage this memorial every year.
There will be an opening ceremony tomorrow (November 10) at 10.45am then the gardens will be open daily from 10am to 3pm.
Crosses and poppies will also be available.
