Ledbury is planning to celebrate the King’s coronation in style - but needs a bit of help.

The town council wants to host a street party in the High Street on Monday, May 8.

The celebration event is hoped to feature hot food from local providers, live entertainment and more.

But volunteers are needed in order to make it happen.

“To enable us to provide this community event, we must have a minimum of 20 volunteers to sign our register and pledge to volunteer their time to make this event happen, along with councillors and staff,” a spokesperson said.

“This will include helping set up the event on the day and packing away/cleaning up. We will decide whether the event will go ahead on Thursday, March 9 depending on how many volunteers we have.”

Anyone interested in volunteering for the coronation event is asked to call 01531 632306 or cdo@ledburytowncouncil.gov.uk.
