A Ledbury choir has made a donation to a mental health charity.

Ledbury Community Choir raised £850 for Strong Young Minds, the chosen charity of Ledbury mayor Phillip Howells, at its Christmas concert.

Choir chair Caroline Warrey presented a cheque for that amount to Cllr Howells and consort Hilary Jones at a rehearsal this month.

For the duration of his time as mayor, Cllr Howells is also president of the community choir, which is also busy preparing for its annual quiz.
