A 4x4 driver has been fined by magistrates after driving without due care and attention on the busy A49 in Herefordshire.

Kyle Morgan was proven guilty in his absence of one count of driving without due care and attention by magistrates in Worcester in May.

The court heard from police prosecutor David Whittaker that the 38-year-old had been caught driving a Ford Ranger 4x4 without due care and attention on the A49 at Leominster on October 29.

Morgan, of Hillcrest Road, Abergavenny, was fined £440 and received six penalty points on his licence for the offence.

He was also ordered to pay prosecution costs of £110 and a £176 victim surcharge, which is used to help fund services supporting victims of crime.
