LEDBURY RFC are urging new players, old and new, to come and 'join the rugby family' at Ross Road ahead of the new rugby season.

With pre-season just around the corner and players coming back from their post-season breaks, Ledbury are looking to continue growing their club.

On their social media, they have been pushing the following message: "As the new season is just around the corner we are looking to grow our rugby family.

"New to the game? Itching to get your boots back on after time away? We have rugby for you!

"No matter what your ability we will support you and help your development within a welcoming, enjoyable family orientated club."

The club ran two senior sides in the 22/23 campaign, with the first team coming fourth in the Counties 1 Midlands West (South) and the 2XV finishing seventh in the Counties 4 Tribute Gloucestershire North.

Ledbury also have a complete youth set-up, with age groups starting at under 6 and going up to Colts level.

In other news, the new season edges closer and the league tables and fixtures have been drawn up by the RFU.

The first team will be, again, playing in the Counties 1 Midlands West (South) and start the 2023/24 campaign with a clash against Droitwich away from home.

They then host Evesham in their first home game, before facing the likes of Bromsgrove 2XV and Alcester in the following weeks.

The 2XV start with a home game against Norton before an away trip to Cheltenham 2XV. They are in a league with the likes of Greyhound, Cheltenham Civil Service and Cinderford 2XV.

Pre-season training for the senior sides begins on June 20, but players can sign on for the new season on June 15 (Thursday), where there will be a BBQ and touch rugby games.
