A HAIRDRESSERS is a cut above the rest after winning three awards at a prestigious event.
Serenity Professional Hairdressing in Ledbury won three prizes in The English Hair and Beauty Awards 2024.
The awards celebrate the stylists and salons from across England that represent excellence in the hair and beauty industry.
Serenity won awards for the categories: Salon Team Of The Year; Hair Salon In The West Midlands and Hair Salon Of The Year Overall. The competition was fierce, but Serenity received the recognition and took the trophies home.
Donna Oliver, the salon owner, said: “Team Serenity would love to express our gratitude to all of our clients for voting and sending such amazing support, we were all speechless with not only winning one award but three.
“Behind every incredible salon there’s an even better team and the awards just proved that we have both.
“I have been so lucky that in the 10 years of Serenity I’ve always had such amazing team and they have stayed with me for many years which speaks volumes for the close-knit work family that we are.”
Donna said her girls were the best and she couldn’t do it without them.
She said all their hard work, dedication and support never went unseen.
“I also have to say a huge thank you to my husband and our families for always believing in me, encouraging me and helping me every single day. Having a business and small children has its challenges and they do so much to help me juggle it all.”
A spokesperson for The English Hair and Beauty Awards 2024, Chapter 4 said: “Winning an award in this prestigious competition is a significant achievement as it acknowledges the talent and hard work of hair and beauty professionals and sets a benchmark for others to follow.
“The winners of these awards represent the highest standards of quality and service in the English hair and beauty industry. We want to congratulate all of our winners and highly commend them on their accomplishments.”
Serenity Professional Hairdressing was established in 2013 with Donna wanting to create a friendly, inclusive and professional environment.
Donna and the team – Hannah Stephens, Shirley Bramley, Gracie Tainton, Lucy Gladwin, Amy Goode and Lilly Millis .- have run charity events in the salon to raise money for local charities and schools.
On Sunday, April 28 the team took to the red carpet, and won the three awards – the Salon Team Of The Year award was for the second year running.
Donna said: “We are all thrilled to have won these awards and absolutely overwhelmed by the messages and kind words our clients and local business have shown. We have been lucky enough to now make it into the national finals which take place in July.”
