A LORRY driver escaped serious injury when his vehicle came off the road and plunged down an embankment at Frome's Hill early this morning.
The accident happened shortly before 4am this morning (Monday) on the A4103, on the Hereford side of Fromes Hill.
The Eddie Stobart lorry came off the road and rolled down a 30-foot embankment into a field.
The cab ended up underneath the trailer, but amazingly, the driver was unharmed and managed to escape.
Police said at about 10am this morning that the road may have to be closed to allow the lorry to be hauled up the embankment.
