LEDBURY families were be greeted by inflatables, face painting, football skills and petting animals at an Elgar Housing fun day yesterday (Thursday, August 19).

The event, on the Deer Park housing estate, was completely free and open to any local people.

Community officer at the housing association, Georgina Bailey, said the team had been working hard to make it an event to remember.

The Ledbury fun day is part of the ‘Festival gets 2gether’ programme of summer activities for young people. The activities programme is in its third year and aims to encourage young people to become involved with the aim of reducing anti-social behaviour during school holiday periods.

“Festival gets 2gether has been a really successful initiative and this Ledbury fun day sees us expanding our activities to a wider audience to achieve event better results,” added Georgina.
