NEW voices are being called to join Ledbury Choral Society ahead of their spring concert.

Rehearsals are already underway for their performance of Mozart’s Coronation Mass and Handel’s Utrecht Te Deum in St Michael’s and All Angels Church on Saturday, April 28.

The group is particulary keen to attract male singers.

They rehearse on Thursday evenings at 7.30pm, in the Baptist Church, and under the guidance of musical director Malcolm Macleod all singers will have an opportunity to learn and improve choral technique and voice production.

All experienced choral singers, those who wish to take up singing again or anyone who is new to choral singing is welcome to attend.

The choir has also donated £200 from its Christmas concert to the Megan Baker House, which is a charity providing free conductive education services at its centre in Herefordshire for children, teenagers and adults with special educational needs and physical disabilities, such as cerebral palsy, head injury, stroke, dyspraxia and early on-set Parkinson’s disease.
