ACCOUNTANTS Ormerod Rutter were certainly on the ball when they added a major new player in the sport industry to their client portfolio.
The firm, which has offices in Droitwich and Bromsgrove, are providing audit and taxation advice to Fleet Street Sport & Media Group, whose chairman is former Republic of Ireland striker Niall Quinn.
Operating nationwide, the consultancy offers guidance and support for agents, players, clubs and owners on issues including player welfare, brand enhancement and marketing. It is also setting up a new charity, Fleet Street Foundation, which aims to prevent footballers developing drug, alcohol and financial problems.
Ormerod Rutter founder Pete Ormerod and partner Jon Roberts were among 200 guests at the consultancy’s high profile launch at the House of Lords. Mr Ormerod said: "Fleet Street Sport & Media Group director Bijan Sedghi is a long-standing client and we are delighted to support him and his partners in this exciting new venture."
