BURGHILL schoolchildren have created a touching display to those lost during World War One who had links to their school.
The youngsters form Burghill Community Academy researched the lives of those soldiers who died during the war and inscribed their names on individual plates as part of poppy display.
They were helped in designing the memorial by Cargill apprentices as part of their ‘Work in the Community’ programme.
2014 marks 100 years since the start of World War One, and schools across the county have been learning about the role Herefordians played in the conflict.
