A 33-YEAR-old has been arrested for making threats to kill a taxi driver.
Police were called at 9pm last night to South Bank in Whitestone to reports of a taxi driver being threatened.
Eye witnesses reported seeing armed police officers in the residential street.
Police said a 33-year-old man from Hereford was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and threats to kill.
He currently remains in custody at Hereford Police Station.
Specialist officers and a trained police negotiator attended the scene as a matter of precaution, police said.
Police spokesman Kieren Bodill said: "This was an isolated incident and police are happy that there are no other parties outstanding from this incident."
