A PERRY maker from Upper Dormington won a trophy at the inaugural Yew Tree Cider Challenge and Festival.
The festival was held at the Yew Tree pub in Peterstow, near Ross, and winner of the Champion Perry award went to Roger Pennell of Mayfayre Cider and Perry Company.
Roger's Sweet Perry wowed the judges with it's smooth fruitiness, and won him the bespoke perpetual trophy that had been hand-carved out of wood from a 'Michelin' cider apple tree.
Winner of the Champion Cider award was Williams Brothers Cider Company from Caerphilly.
The event raised £540 for Ross charity, Hope Support Services.
