I AM amazed that Worcestershire County Council are proposing yet another council tax rise in Worcestershire of up to two per cent.
Can Malvern Hills District Council prove that they have provided us with value for money over the last 12 months? I don't think so.
Despite paying full council tax, my complaints go unanswered and I am no longer able to get any cherry-coloured sacks for my recycling.
Yes, I am one of those people who, for practical purposes, was not gifted a wheelie bin yet unlike my counterparts I am not given the facilities to recycle my rubbish.
Perhaps I am expected to dump it undercover of darkness in my neighbour's wheelie?
Add that to the petty squabbles for which we end up footing the bill, hastily put together housing plans forced upon us, and generous pay rises for our councillors and you have to wonder where your money is going.
Unfortunately, complaining about the council is nigh on impossible, and believe me, I've tried. Malvern Hills District Council are obviously aware of this and know that we are mere sitting ducks who can do nothing but observe their shenanigans.
It's time to say enough's enough.
