A PLANNING application to remove a disused railway embankment in a New Street garden has won the support of the town council.
But councillors say their approval is subject to the condition that two mature trees in the garden of “Wilkeswood” should be retained.
The town council is calling for tree preservation orders to be imposed, and also that measures should be put in place to ensure there are no earth slides into neighbouring properties.
The final decision on the application lies with Herefordshire Council.
