A BIT of glitz and glamour is set to come to Redditch and Alcester after McDonald’s has teamed up with fashion icon Julien Macdonald.
The fast food chain has teamed up with the Britain's Next Top Model judge, to unveil his interpretation of a luxury burger box.
He crafted the burger boxes for the McDonald's Signature Collection, which will be available in Redditch and Alcester restaurants by the end of the year.
The premium burgers come in three flavours – The Classic, The BBQ and The Spicy - and all of them include fancy ingredients and 20mm thick beef patties.
Redditch McDonald’s franchisee Robert Holdcroft said: “I am delighted to bring The Signature Collection to Redditch.
"We’ve had a fantastic reaction from our customers to the transformation of the restaurant, and these new burgers are a great example of what can be achieved as a result.
"The Signature Collection is a really exciting addition to our menu, and I can’t wait to hear what our customers think.”
Emily Somers, vice president of marketing at McDonald’s added: “This is our first ever UK packaging collaboration, it’s a brave and exciting move and it’s like nothing we’ve ever done before."
