MALVERN Joggers’ annual 10-kilometre race is being held next Wednesday at 7.30pm.

Registration is from 6.30pm at Welland Primary School, Marlbank Road, and entries will be available on the night if the race limit of 300 has not been reached.

Runners face a multi-terrain course across Castlemorton Common and the surrounding area.

There are trophies and prizes for race and age category winners plus a memento for competitors.

Joggers’ sponsors Vasai Restaurant will supply free food for all runners and a licensed bar is being put on by the Plume of Feathers.

Entry fees are £8 for affiliated runners and £10 for unaffiliated. On the night, there will be an additional charge of £2.

A donation will be made from any race profit to the Community First Responders charity.

Meanwhile, 19 Joggers travelled to Herefordshire to take part in the Magic Roundabout 10km race.

The race offered an undulating, off-road course with stunning views.

Organised by the Hay Hot Footers Running Club, the Malvern runners posted respectable times on a tough track.

Chris Smallman clocked 46 minutes 10 seconds to be first Jogger home, while Daniel Badger managed 49.05, Trevor Matty 49.29, Megan Judge 50.10, Ian Dyson 51.12, John Bryan 53.10 and Steve Roode 54.47.

They were backed up by Julie Caseley (55.05), Andrew Brown (55.29), Ian Walwyn (57.13), Glyn Davies (57.35), Andrew Banham (59.11), Neil Humpage (59.59), Mike Anstey (63.36), Lynda Broadway (1.03.40), Amanda Duncan (1.04.11), Viv Tolley (1.09.57), Emma McCance (1.12.02) and Arthur Lockyear (1.18.09).
