MALVERN Vale Academy continued their inconsistent start to the season as they went down 3-0 to Cheltenham League Division Four newcomers Woodmancote.
Academy started brightly with Ted Fredericks being denied by the keeper and sending a chip narrowly over.
And after Fredericks was unlucky not to receive a penalty, Woodmancote took the lead.
It was not long before they added a second when a cross into the box was missed by keeper George Weaver, who otherwise had another impressive display, and the ball went in off a Woodmancote attacker.
Fredericks had to be taken hospital and Les Brown suffered an injury before Woodmancate compounded their misery with a third.
Academy will look to bounce back on Saturday (3pm) when they face leaders Malvern Vale’s first team who hammered Andoversford thirds 5-1.
Toby Boswell struck twice, while Joe Dallow, Aaron Griffiths and Kieran Kinsella also scored.
