LEDBURY Town are back on top of the Herefordshire Football League Premier Division table after a Ryan Dobbins' hat-trick saw them come from 2-0 down to beat Hereford Pegasus Reserves 3-2.

The visitors were light on numbers but Ben Tootell and Harry Gwynne put them into a shock 2-0 lead.

Dobbins halved the deficit before a dramatic finale at New Street.

Dobbins looked to have rescued a point in stoppage time but the hosts would pinch all three points even deeper into additional time as Dobbins once again popped up with the third and his hat-trick goal to clinch the victory in chaotic circumstances.

The result means Ian Merrick's men leapfrog New Dales Vale into first place, albeit having played two games more than their title rivals. Wellington Reserves have only played nine games so Ledbury are very much playing catch-up despite their position in the standings.

Elsewhere in the league, Vale put seven past Holme Lacy in a thumping 7-1 victory, whilst Gloucester City Reserves beat Kington Town 4-2.

Wellington have not played for over a week but last time out they beat Evesham United Reserves 2-1. They are only three points off Ledbury with three games in hand.

Wellington and Vale with both have a chance to catch Ledbury this weekend whilst Town have a week off. Wellington head to Tenbury United on Saturday afternoon, whilst Vale head to Hereford Pegasus Reserves.

Ledbury are next in action on November 11 when they host Kington Town (Saturday, 2PM kick-off).
